Mistake or Triumph?

Hello,

I just sold both my hd 7850's. I used that money to buy the

MSI Lightning R9 290x. Ok here's the thing, the Sapphire trixx r9 290x was 20 dollars more. (The trixx one not the vapor x)

So on websites I am saying the Lightning is best r9 290x ever made. But people say the sapphire ( again not the vapor x) is better... Is it true? I am going to overclock like heck.

Plus the lIghning overclocked give me more then 100 fps on bf4 1080p?

The Lightning will still be a very good overclocker (unless you lost the silicon lottery) as to frame rate I have no idea but you should get 60+ fps on bf4

68fps according to toms hardware keeping in mind this was with release drivers and 79 according to luke's overclocked benchmark.

BF4 is AMD-favored, so you can bet that their flagship single GPU cards will be rather high on the charts, how much vram does the card have by the way? For Resolutions/details greater than 1080p that's kinda important now.

 

According to TechOfTomorrow; You're looking at bout 83FPS with a R9 290x at 1080p Ultra settings, and 55FPUS at 1440p Ultra settings.

 

Eitherway you're above the 60fps 'pcmasterrace' threshold so you're all good to go. I do also recall a FPS cap at 200fps ( i think ), but that's kinda unrelated.
