Interested in the i5 model.

I was wondering if this is as good as my current gaming PC in my signature? Is it worth the $800+tax?

Core i7 2700K Oc'ed 4.4 Ghz, EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SC'ed, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 240 GB Intel 730 SSD and 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Zalman Z9 plus case with 7 blue LED fans, Windows 10 Preview

alienware is nice but if you want to upgrade in the future then you don't have a lot of options.

Computer: MacBookPro, Imac, PC to be build this year (2014)

Camera: Nikon D90, D200, D800, D7100 (Facebook: http://paradisethroughalens.blogspot.be)

Consoles: PS1, PS2, PS3

Imo only the lowest end model is worth it, at the end of the day they all have an 860M which is the limiting factor.

You could likely build a much better matx PC for $800.

edit: It's not even close to being nearly as good as your current PC.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

is it worth it? not really. exept in the lower models as fate said.

unlesssss you find it impossible to build a pc or want the brand name (its a fancy dell)

i looked it up and it doesn't even give the specifics of  the nvidia gpu.. just that its classic and has 2 gb gddr5.

edit: its a m series so its not going to blow your socks off for the price, you would be better of with a gygabyte brix if you wanted that form factor.

thermal throtling is a problem at that size though.

Well it's okay imo if you want to use it as a living room PC but it's always better to build your own! :)

You can build yourself a small pc, but not as small as the Alpha, that will perform better for the money. I've seen quite some builds that are great as a living room PC.

Asus B85M-G / Intel i5-4670 / Sapphire 290X Tri-X / 16GB RAM (Corsair Value 1x8GB + Crucial 2x4GB) @1333MHz / Coolermaster B600 (600W) / Be Quiet! Silent Base 800 / Adata SP900 128GB SSD & WD Green 2TB & SG Barracuda 1TB / Dell AT-101W / Logitech G502 / Acer G226HQL & X-Star DP2710LED
