Guys, you're both pretty, now hug it out and make it up.

In this case however, @ is right.

If the OP plays firefall more than any other game, the FX6300 is right for her.

This is further justified by her other choice of game, which are made by SOE, which I'm assuming means Planetside 2 and upcoming H1Z1? These games run forgelite, which as of last year got an update, and really loves high core counts.

In this case, I'd have to say that the OP's list is pretty much perfect.

Didnt @LinusTech recomed OCZ psus for the longest time?

am i pretty too? :3

bubblewhale wasnt listening so i just blocked them.

yeah. im harsh. too ****ing bad.

Well i just don't like FX cpus. You never experienced the pain of regretting buying a 8320.

because one person has had a bad experience doesnt mean its a pain for everyone.

and yes, i know... more than one person has had a bad experience... im sure the same goes for intel.

I'm about to buy an FX 6300 myself.

I've done 2 years of research, and I've settled on it being the best choice for me.

oddly enough, she's getting her build at the same time I'm going to be getting my system overhaul done.

Why not a Phenom II X6?

You don't have to upgrade your board, they are around 100 dollars used.

It's one of a couple parts that are going to be a christmas present.

So used parts are out the window.

if I could, I would get an 1100T

But an FX6300 is close enough, and hits higher clocks. :) *OC enthusiast, hit 4.2 on a PII x4 965, using a 212+*

during those two years dod ot occur to you that two years ago it was a better option than it is now a amd kaveri part has better ipc everything had better ipc along with higher clock would allow a high end i3 to low end i5 to blow your 6300 away in everything even rendering

Please follow your topics guys, it's very important! CoC F.A.Q  Please use the corresponding PC part picker link for your country USA, UK, Canada, AustraliaSpain, Italy, New Zealand and Germany

also if you find anyone with this handle in games its most likely me so say hi

You've obviously never seen my taskbar then...

I've been watching the market, and an FX 6300 STILL makes the most sense for me.

The CHEAPEST i3 is STILL $20 more than an FX 6300.

At this point, Planetside 2 (my main game) has become quite thread hungry.

Trust me, I've looked at other possibilities, but I'm set on an AMD 6 core over an intel dual.

Plus, intel has lost me ever since they came out and said that they are against Net-neutrality as well. I am sure many sympathize with this as well.
