SOURCE 2?

Valve seems to be keeping the details very close to the chest.  Anyone have any details on this engine?  Any info would be appreciated.

you can download it for dota 2 already.

it doesn't make a huge different in dota 2 though.

It's just a newer iteration of the source engine. I'm looking forward to it.

 

Should also work well on oldish hardware.

All I've heard was the semi-leak from a tour group months ago that took a picture of a dev screen that had Source 2 and possibly L4D3 on it.

Cus other than that source 2 has no current effect on dota 2

we don't know anything about it because they haven't released a game which was developed on it. Then mentioned it in passing a few times during steam dev days without going into details. All we know so far is that the dev tools are more user friendly. The creator of counter strike Minh Le who has seen it said it was comparable to unreal engine 4.

Well it still in alpha and playable on source 2.

Reportedly the actual game will go source 2 in early 2015.

Yea, they updated their blog about it on DOTA2.com  

 

Buying a new PC and wondering if I should change anything.. but as it looks I'm sure I'll be fine
