Gtx 970 Reference

I saw the GTX 970 reference on sale on OCUK and Best Buy and I was wondering what were the differences and if one had a vapor chamber in the cooler.

I saw the GTX 970 reference on sale on OCUK and Best Buy and I was wondering what were the differences and if one had a vapor chamber in the cooler.

They are the same cards. Plus they both have vapor chambers. I think the OCUK version is slightly upgraded with part quality.

The stock one would run hotter, but then again I know that saphire makes vapour chamber stuff for AMD. Dunno about nvidia.

If a vapoe chamber isn't present in a 980, I don't think that a 970 will have it. Nvidia used the vapor chamber with 780 Ti and the Titan. They now use heatpipes with the 980 (and apparently the 970 too)

No vapor chamber and OCUK and Bestbuy both get it from Nvidia, nothing is different about them. Also Manli is getting the reference card from Nvidia and putting their name on it.

Neither do I, I wasn't to fond of what OCUK did saying that "they" designed there reference 970, when you look at a PCB picture its 100% identical to a reference 970 from Nvidia.
