hi guys

 

i need to know how to do this:

the object is 4cm away form the lens, the lens has a focal length of 12cm, calculate the distance.

can someone show me how to do it?

p.s sorry for being in active, ive started playing rugby and test were at school

1/f = 1/Do + 1/Di

If the image is virtual then Di is negative

ok so how do i work it out from that, object is 4cm from lens, lens has a focal of 12xm
