I'm not sure if I'm not reading this right, but I'm confused with what that says.

"And yet my mind is screaming, provoked in an icy sweat. It’s pleading and begging for a release, scraping the walls of a padded cell, pounding hopelessly at the floors that won’t even deliver the gift of pain."  - Why I Don't Dream Anymore

I have the money to upgrade, but I'll stick with my 2700K. Don't really see a point of upgrading because no game can really bottleneck it right now especially when overclocked. I'll just get a better cooler and overclock like hell later on. Maybe it will last me till the new socket after 1150 comes out!

No way! I'm keeping my 2500k until something worthwhile comes out that doesn't have thermal past between the die and the heat spreader and actually performs significantly better. The 2500/2600k was the last non enthusiast Intel chip worth getting.

you guys are absolutley right. sandybridge was the last major benificial change for intel, plus they overclock like animals.

i recently sold my 2500k to go to the i7. I considered buying a 2600k\2700k but they still hold good value, because they are awesome cpus.

so i wanted an i7, but wait msi just launched sexy mpower boards. I had to have the mpower max..had to. considered the 4670k but for an extra 60 bucks I upgraded to the i7. I got 240cdn for my  z77 mpower and i5 2500k. sold it to a stranger, who is now a friend and hes got that little i5 stable at 5.2 GHz under a sweet water setup.

Im using a noctua nhd-14 with 3 fans and could only get the i5 stable at 4.7-4.8 as a daily driver, I was however able to get a few benchmarks in at 5.2 so i knew it was a good chip, but even at 5.2 it was still slightly slower than a 3570k clocked at 5.0GHz.

not worth the upgrade unless you got to much cash kicking around or if you dont mind paying the small cost difference if you sell your old gear.

i will love sandybridge as much as i love conroe, barton and clawhammer :)

Currently stress testing the 4770k at 4.7 GHZ.
