Games that failed.

BF3, BF4, etc. Complete disgrace. BF2 was their peak

BFBC2 was great, and bf3 is still alive. By the end of its life bf3 was excellent. BF4 though, fuck me that game was a mess at launch.

 

As for a game that failed on the player retention front, Halo 4. When the released the game it lacked even basic features like region based matchmaking in adition to just being a shit game. To top it all of if you ever said anything negative about the game on the 343 forums, the overzealous admins would just ban you. You didnt even have to be shit talking either. If you presented vaild points they would ban you for daring to insist that the game was anything other than perfect.

Forza 5 

It's pretty good but it feels like they sacrificed a lot just for the prettiness (half the cars and tracks that forza 4 did)

Don't get me wrong, BC2 is great, I still play it from time to time but Ain;t as awesome as BF2 due to the jets, etc IMO. BF3 went more in the way of BC2 rather than upholding the legacy of BF2. The jets are slower, the control system is fucked, just the whole game is not what I expected to be a successor in the main BF series.

I personally cant stand jets due to how centralizing they are (and im a tanker). The controls may have been dumbed down for bf3 but the whole vehicle food chain still has jets at the top.
