Memory vs core 970 gpu overclocking

I was wondering what will give me better results in terms of frame rate? Is it better to o/c core or both ? Is memory o/c even needed with msi 970 ?

Max out core first and make sure it runs stable then do memory, that will get you best results so i have heard

OC the core first, then OC the memory, Core will give you a larger boost in frames than the memory will but still you should OC the memory if you want just that little bit more.

 

And well what screens do you have and what are you doing with your computer?

I mainly bought it to be as a gaming rig but will be doing some work on it as well. Something about desktop with mouse and kb on monitor than a laptop + monitor , loving it!
