After finding my Asus Gryphon z87 board is no long ideal for my system i'm now looking at an ATX board.

I'm still looking for case maybe the Air 540 but that's a question for another topic. Decided on a 450D.

Out of the boards listed which do you guys prefer and why compared to the others?

none of these they are all way overpriced...pick the cheapest motherboard that has the features you need/want and call it a day...motherboard won't affect performance and they won't last any longer if you pay more.

If you like Asus look for the Z97-AR this one has all the features one might want for a much better price.

If you like flashier red and black gaming stuff for example the MSI Z97-G45 gaming or MSI Z97 gaming 5 are also a good offering.

True the Z87 sabretooth is way overpriced at £188 on amazon but the z97 mk2 sabretooth is £120 which is what i paid for my Gryphon board. The HERO board is £20 more but i dont think you get anything more really.

Just get one that's cheap and is good. VRMs don't hugely matter between Z boards AFAIK, unless you're doing some extreme shit

correct, the haswell CPU's all have FIVR built in (fully integrated voltage regulation) so a 4+1 board is likely to allow all the overclocking possible even on cheaper motherboards...you overclocking now is very likely to be limited only by ''the luck of the draw''...the quality of the chip that you get.

You get less, 5yr warranty on the TUF line. I'll always vote TUF given the chance :D
