What do i do?

Hello guys, 

this is my first real post on the site.

So I have a bit of a problem here (at least i think it is a problem), I just built a new system from some spare parts and some new parts.

The thing is that i want to upgrade the CPU, and maybe the cooler, but i don't know if the PSU would be able to handle it.

So do i get an i5 3470 and cooler or the i5 and a new PSU?

 

specs:

 

PSU: CX430
CPU: i3 3240

Mobo: MSI B75IA-E33

GFX card: MSI GTX 970 

Ram: Hyperx Predator 8 GB

HDD/SSD: Samsung 120gb SSD and Seagate 1tb HDD

Case: Bifenix Prodigy

Depends, is it the older CX430 with 28a on the 12v rail or the newer version with 32a on the 12v rail? If it's the older, get a new power supply because that's cutting it very close. If it's the newer, you're fine on the power supply for now (only using ~75% of the 12v rail under worst case scenario). 

For the cooler I recommend a Hyper 212 Evo, any higher will be kinda pointless because it's a locked chip and doesn't get very hot.

It's the newer one (model number CP-9020046-EU), at least that's what I see on the chart, so I'll be getting the i5 without the PSU, thanks a lot man!
