780TI SLI?

Go to solution Solved by Jordan1417,

Thanks for the article, a lot of info there, and the video was the benchmarks I was needing. Plus he was running v-sync which takes some fps away. Also he is running higher than 1440P so I should be fine with one card.

The difference is significant, but you are probably fine with a single card for 1440p. I generally don't avise to overspend on gpus, they will be obsolete VERY quickly and you will still want to upgrade in 3-4 years, so throwing away 2 cards is worse than throwing away one. I'm not saying you should never go for multiple cards, but make sure it's actually worth it to you. Try running the monitor on a single card first, and get a second one only if you are not satisfied. Ignore the settings, just consider the experience you're getting.

Yeah I see what you mean. With the benchmark dragoon showed me up there, it looks like I will be fine with just a single card. I will probably wait another 2 years and then buy sli cards and trash this 780ti. Thanks for the insight.

As of now I have a single 780TI. The exact model I have is the ASUS Direct CUII

I am getting the QNIX QX2710 1440P monitor this christmas so I was wanting to get another card to push 1440P at ultra. I know the 970, 980 is out, but since I have already had this 780TI for about 6-8 months I would just like to stick to it. My question here is, is the non sli 780TI vs Single 780TI in 1440P a huge difference FPS wise? If so could someone show me some benchmarks as I am struggling to find the benchmarks for 1440P non sli vs sli. Thank you for the help.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
