For some reason I don't think they would let that type of thing through security, but they might who really knows. If not, I don't see any issue with them being with luggage that is "checked". The temperature shouldn't affect the parts at all

Taxes... if you wont get busted in border then everything is fine.

Had a friend that bought a mac in the US. It depends on how much you spend to be honest. I don't remember the amount you can take home tax free, but there is some limit for your Country. When that is said it all depends on the luck whether you get busted at the border or not; if you take the chance to spend more.

Edit: My friend exceeded the amount of the maximum he could bring home tax free, but he did not have to pay since he wasn't busted. So whatever you try to do, good luck with it.
