Why is my drive split this way? I can't create one big partition

After installing windows 8.1 on 1.2tb partition I wanted to create another partition with 1.5tb  (all on single 3tb drive) but disk management wouldn't let me the drive was split in the way like on the attached image. I can't create another image on DISK0 but I can on DISK2, but I wanted to have one big 1.5tb partition. Why is that ?

Do you have any files  on that drive?

I believe the problem is your partition table. If you have it set to MBR, only 2.2tb is supported by the OS. If you want to change it to GPT, you will need to reformat your drive to do so.

No I have no files on other partitions except C . I tried changing to GPT but it didn't work. By reformatting you meant entire drive yes  ?

I agree, it looks like MBR being the culprit here.
