This transfer speed normal?

ehh... its kinda slow, but HDD transfers are always slow. i wouldn't worry about it :)

That's way to slow. HDD transfers are not nearly that slow as stated above. I max out my drive at it's rated speed when moving large files. The writes on my usb 3 drive are up to 40MB/s writes. I often hit 50MB/s

Personally that speed is when i copy something into a usb 2. Usually starts fast and then stays around 3-5 Mb/s

I sometimes get 10-20MB/sec with a usb 2.0 flash drive and usb 2 port. You should be getting a lot faster than that.

:o I got 11mb/s right now. But if I paste it to my SSD I get 120mb/s.

Well if you bought a kinda cheap USB 3.0 device it might just fill up the cache and drop down to your speed afterwards. So what device is it?

 

Yeah, I tihnk I got a shit USB device. HDD works fine writing on anything else.
