With no better option available. Would it be preferable for two networks to share the same channel, or to overlap with each other on just the 'one side'?

The reason why I ask; I live in an apartment complex where channels 1 and 6 are quite crowded, with people overlapping each other left and right. Thankfully though, there's only one AP occupying 11 and no one's overlapping with it. So would it be best to share 11, or (since I live in europe) go with 13 and overlap with 11 on just the 'one side'?

The best option is to find a free channel, overlapping is fine as long as you can do it, the last option is using the same channel.

If there were any free channels then I wouldn't be asking about this.

What do you mean with "as long as you can do it"? If you can select the channel range manually then of course you can do it. As far as I'm aware; overlapping is the worst option if you overlap into two occupied channels (it's kinda douchey as well), hence why I'm specifically asking about overlapping into just one as opposed to sharing it. Or is that what you were referring to when you said that overlapping is fine?
