Low powered steam in-home streaming box 

 

So I am currently looking for a small, compact media pc that can also double as a steam in-home streaming box. I was looking at the zbox pico from zotac because it is small, silent, has a h.264 decoder and comes preinstalled with windows for a very reasonable price. But when it comes to steam in-home streaming the zbox just losses to many frames as Linus said in his review of the product. So I am wondering if anyone knows any small, compact, low power media PC's that can perform well with steam in-home streaming. PS for an okay price​​.

first thought would be a Gigabyte Brix Gaming,

I use steam inhome streaming with HW-acceleration on an pentium g3258 and it works fine...

You dont need to have an expensive CPU / dedicated GPU for somethign simple like streaming

Yea, even building your own little media system with something like a AMD 860K, or pentium g3258. Will handle streaming pretty well if your network is good.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?
