I need a new, short (under 150mm), modular PSU. Should I get a really good lower wattage , or less good higher wattage

depends on your needs really. if you are making a small pc. you will probably not need the extra watts.

 

though. if you take the 750. you will have less pressure to put on the psu and have room for upgrades

depends on your needs really. if you are making a small pc. you will probably not need the extra watts.

My system is in my profile. I don't know if I shoukd give my self upgrade room

Yeah, I could argue the 520w being better than the g2.

I think I'll get the 750, just to have room like you said.

Considering how your motherboard doesn't have support for SLI, the Nightjar 520w (Seasonic Platinum SSR-520FL2 internally) is an excellent high-end unit if you looking for a passive cooling unit that is capable of powering up to the GTX 980.

 

You could go get the Silverstone Strider Gold ST55F-G instead for $115 though.

Considering how your motherboard doesn't have support for SLI, the Nightjar 520w (Seasonic Platinum SSR-520FL2 internally) is an excellent high-end unit if you looking for a passive cooling unit that is capable of powering up to the GTX 980.

You could go get the Silverstone Strider Gold ST55F-G instead for $115 though.

It can crossfire. But I probably will never due that due to money.

So I think I'll sick with the passive one or the one you said

Looks like the 550w strider is 99$ on amazon.

That or the passive for 30$ more?
