SSD caching

Hi,

 

I'm new to ssd caching -wouldn't use it myself but i'm building a pc for someone else- and I have a few questions.

 

I have selected a few components for the build:

Intel core i3 3225

Gigabyte ga-z77m-d3h

Corsair 4GB 1333MHz memory

WD caviar green 1TB

 

But the HDD isn't very fast so, I need a caching solution to accelerate the system a bit. 

I'm entirely new to ssd caching and I have a few questions:

1. Can I use just a regular ssd for the caching solution?

2. Can I use ssd caching on a h77 motherboard?

3. Do I have to use SRT or can I use something else?
