Would 4690k enough for this gaming only build, sff mitx in bitfenix prodigy with windowed side panel to show of that glorious R9 295x2

Build:

MSI Z97I GAMING AC, LGA1150, Intel Z97, DDR3, mITX

Intel Haswell i5-4690K, LGA1150, 3.5GHz, 6MB, Boxed  OR Intel Haswell i7-4790K, LGA1150, 4.0GHz, 8MB, Boxed

G.Skill 16GB (2 x 8GB) RipjawsX, DDR3 1600MHz, CL10, 1.5V

BitFenix Prodigy Midnight Black, Mini-ITX+ windowed side panel OR RED ONE

Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler (Red or Black)

XFX Radeon R9 295X2, 8GB DDR5, DVI/4x mDP, PCI-E 3.0 + NSF Space + Civilization Beyond Earth only 649€!!!

I haven't figured out the PSU yet, something that could fit the prodigy without destroying those cables, maybe even Lian Li psu expander or something?

And psu would have to be powerfull enough to feed that 295x2 (AMD did recommend 1000w psu?)

+ I am on a budget of 1500€-1700€

also corsair h100i is somewhat cheap in here Finland and im thinking about that too, although is it a bit overkill for i5 even with high OC's?

And if that 4690k is bottlenecking that beast gpu i would have to get an 4790k which would definitely wreck my budget?

And if possible feel free to give me some suggestions to replace prodigy with something similar w/ window?

Build above is already on 1350€ and majority of the rest is going for psu and fans.

For gaming an i5 is more than enough.

But becareful with your choice of case... I dont think you have enough space for it radiator as well inside the case. I think that you get R9 295x2 mainly because it's technically single card in term of size and perform as 2 290 Crossfire and you want to fit it insde your small case right? But if it was me I'd rather get a bigger case with handle like the Cosmos for example in case I want to carry it around, and get 2 970 or 2 980 instead.

The 4690k doesn't have hyper-threading, but its still a damn good chip. The i7 does have the hyper-threading that can help with large amounts of multitasking and runs a bit faster. Either of them will kill in a gaming setup.

Why the r9 295x ?

And the 295x2 is still the second fastest gpu on the planet, and it's WAY cheaper than the titan z which is only about 12-20% faster depending on silicon lottery. (295 $779; titan z $1500)

The i5 will not bottleneck anything.the i5 is the way to go if it's a pure gaming build. You won't really see any advantage with the i7 if it's for gaming except for a few games.

Even with in future? I've heard that it could become much more popular to use hyperthreading in games? Or i could be wrong
