Thin Mini-ITX MB with DC jack

Go to solution Solved by costin.buga,

After a better look, I see that it comes with a sata power cable that connects between the MB and hdd. Initially I was looking on another site that was missing this info.

I want to build a new custom NAS server and I was looking at the thin mini-ITX motherboards with 12V dc input jack for external PSU.

My question is, how do you power the HDDs ? I've never used or seen such MB in real life.

link me the exact MOBO

i might have an idea, wont fix your nase but its a great idea for a gmaing rig using only SSDs and m.2

Here is the link:

As you can see, the MB does not have the normal ATX 24 pin, instead it has a DC jack for external PSU.

shoot... no 16x pciE.... damn....

i was thinking, i could actually set up a REALLY compact gaming rig using the external power suppyl (considering the GPU i had in mind even that poor little celeron wouldnt be a bottleneck) would have been a console with windows basically but damnit... no 16x...

You can get any mini-itx board and use the adapter sugested by vinyldash303.
