New Build Help

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£167.50 @ Amazon UK)

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£87.56 @ Scan.co.uk)

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card  (£249.99 @ Ebuyer)

Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  (£82.99 @ Amazon UK)

Total: £686.69

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Then this is a much stronger build. Save up a bit more money for a decent CPU cooler and you can OC that thing a good way. Recommend the Nepton 240m/280L, NH-D15, 212 EVO

I'm planning a new build for the new year, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. I want to keep the price around the same (about £50 leeway).

So, here's the list. If there's any improvements, they'd be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

  • CPU AMD 8320 (Overclocked to around 4.0GHz)
  • Motherboard Asus M5A99X EVO
  • RAM Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600HMz
  • GPU MSI GTX 970 (Or Galax 970 Infinity Black)
  • Heat Sink Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
  • PSU Corsair CX600M
  • Case Corsair C70

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

What is your budget?

About £650 - £700 (Excluding the RAM, as that's coming from my old build)

Ah, thanks. This is really handy. I've heard about MSI boards being a bit less reliable than Asus or Gigabyte boards, do you agree with this?

Oh, and the Gigabyte GPU is now about £280 on ebuyer

100% horseshit

All the prices went up O_o. I'd say go with the cheaper option between the ACX 2.0, MSI TF V and Windforce X3
