Can a single GTX 980 Classy run games like AC: Unity, the upcoming GTA V, Farcry 4, CoD: AW on 1440p at Ultra Settings at atleast 60fps? or i need to buy another one?

Unity LOL that game is an utter POS and massive fail both on a technical "Fact" and gameplay " My opinion" standpoint. If you want to play AC get one of any of the others cause if you played one you played them all. FarCry 4 is really CPU dependent so does n ot always run perfectly even on high end Intel systems. GTA V is not out yet and COD AW should run fine .

i would buy 2 970s because cost wise its not much more expensive but the performance increase is ten-fold

Unity I wouldn't hold your breath. But all the others, yes you should be good. But if you got the cash it'd go 970 sli like many suggest.

Im in the same boat here with my LG 1440p ultra wide screen monitor, my parts havent arrived yet but from all the benchmarks I've seen some games wont hit 60fps by using a single 980 .. AC unity with no AA and on Ultra Settings (1440p) reaches 41 - 42 fps

Ya get two 970s. It will gain like 20 to 50fps+ over a single 980 so that's almost enough performance right there alone to properly drive a 60Hz panel.

We won't stop you. Generally money is a huge limiting factor to what most people want to spend on GPU's , however if you can get two titan z's, merry christmas to you.
