Windows 7 reinstall

So I want to reinstall Windows 7 on my dads laptop. I installed it but it didnt format the partition it was installing to. The HDD is made into two and one has some movies that are backed up. Could I just format the other partion, one with the movies. Install Windows 7 there and then format the old Windows 7 partion?

Oh and I am also installing from an USB memory stick.

I burned the ISO to my USB mem stick and now I could format the drive. This can be locked or deleted.

Windows 7 will want to install 2 partitions on your HDD...1 called System reserved the other as Primary..Your best bet would be to save the videos to back up device, with a partition manager remove all the existing partition and start a fresh install of your OS. Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..
