Could't get into bios. Took out the cmos battery and it booted

 

Sounds like you didn't have some voltages set up correctly or possibly a memory issue? Anyway, always overclock in small incriments and run a stress test like AIDA 64 or IBT AVX, Prime95 has been known to over volt intel chips so you should look into that before using that as a stress test.
