It depends on the psu but it usually doesn't matter.

There should be two separate cables coming from your power supply, one with an 8 pin connector and one with a 6 pin connector, either of those is interchangeable with a 6+2 connector (Both could be 6+2 if that's what your PSU has) (there are other cables connected to it if non-modular too), and depending on if your PSU us modular, semi-modular, or non-modular you may have to connect the cables to your power supply then the graphics card. (For modular and semi-modular)
