[HELP] Ubuntu Networking

Just installed ubuntu today, if i do "lsusb" i can see my adapter but it wont connect to my wireless connection help, i've been struggling for well over 2 days!!!

Edit: forgot to mention my adapter is the Netgear WN300 and the ID is 0846:9020 if it helps

from the softwarecenter and use the windows driver to install your device properly. It needs a reboot to work after installing the driver.

Is there a chance you could link me a guide or a video? Every time I try it says 0 packages updated and installed and 250 packages remained the same.
