An Asus Z97-A doesn't have a power button on the motherboard. 

 

Either connect the power headers with something like a fork, or flip the switch on the psu.

the switch on the psu, or the power button on the case (or just connecting the power button header on the motherboard for a few seconds -- something like a fork works well).

Does your motherboard have an actual power switch on it? Not all do -- in fact most don't; but if yours does, press it/hold it.
