Hello dear linus community

I am new here and it's my first post so think of me as newbie ^^. So straight to my topic i want to ask you about how much my graphics card will life. I got MSI geforce 650 gtx ti and in normal usage(means no games active atm) i got like 20~30 oC but when it reaches a 3 level (a game mode) sometimes temp is more than 50 oC. There is no second card, case is open and i got 1 fan (except the coolin fans from CPU and PSUP). That's why i wonder how many months or years this card will life.

Sorry if my english is bad or smth...

WIsh you a good day/night

P.S Forgot to say that temp in game was taken while playin AION on high graphic engine and some medium adjustments .

I can't tell you how long the card will last(operating wise), but I reckon it'll last for a couple of years. However, I've had my 660 Ti die within a year because part of the voltage regulation circuitry blew on me.

welcome to the forums xD

Um those temps are totally good, and I'd give it atleast 3 years although it'd probably end up being more

Modern graphics cards are designed to function at high temperatures & 50C isn't that hot for a graphics card. I'd say it should be okay for as long as you want to use it.

Having said that, it's always good to have good airflow through the case and if you want to overclock it's essential.

Also, one of the quickest and easiest ways to manage computer temperatures is simply to open a window (to let the hot air escape the room).

I've never had a graphics card fail but I generally upgrade relatively frequently.

I've used one heavily and around the clock for a couple of years and it's still operating.

Aha ^^.Uff one stone from the hearth btw it's gonna be offtop kinda but 50 oC on 4 core proc (intel i5) with 3,1 Ghz per core freq is good too? And again sorry for off top >.<

EDIT : Thanks all for explanation

My PNY 770 is dying already so yeah...

While playing CS:GO, it hits around 70c when I have the side panel on .-.

Well you got over clocked, mine isn't and i bought it 2 weeks ago so i think now it will hold some time (especially because i am a mmo player mostly and mmos aren't so consumin like single player games, atleast that's what i think)

BUT

POOR PONY 770

I've been buying video cards regularly since my first Geforce 3 ti in 2001, have flipped between ATI and Nvidia numerous times and no card has ever died on me.  I'm sure the 9700 non-pro (awesome value back in the day) still sitting in my closet would work fine.  AMD even rates a 95c temp safe these days.

Unless you plan on being one of the first human colonists on Mars and are taking a gaming rig with you (single player only, I'm afraid), I wouldn't worry.
