Hi, I've looked around and I didn't find a post that solves my problem so I'm making a new post. My computer about a year ago to stutter when doing certain tasks and sometimes has trouble starting up(when I turn it looks like it's booting but then it shuts down and tries to boot again it does so 3 times and sometimes it just doesn't display anything after a number of tries it does turn on but tells me that OC settings were the reason it didn't turn on). For example when playing Facebook videos fullscreen on HD ( Youtube videos seem to do just fine). Curiuosly enough on Dota 2 main screen it stutters but while in-game it doesn't. My pc specs are:

CPU: Intel Pentium E6600

MB: MSI G41-P25

RAM: Single slot 4GB DDR3

SSD: Kingston 120GB

HDD: WD 1TB

PSU: Corsair CX430

Here are some pics I took while playing a Facebook video showing cpu clock drops:

Sometimes it drops to 0.9GHz or jumps up to 4.7GHz.

I think it's the motherboard because it has a phase switch built in for "easy OC" but I want your oppinions just to be sure.

P.S. It's not overclocked, I didn't ever touch that phase switch.

I think you need to update your mainboard bios. -updated cpu microcode (download the newest)

If you want to flash your mainboard bios (at your own risk)

Step 1: insert a USB stick in the back of your computer, not the front.

Step 2: Go to "computer" where your hdd, cd drive and your plugged in usb stick is detected.

Step 3: Rightklick on the Usb icon and klick on "Format". Select the format "FAT32 (Standart) not ntfs, not exFAT, also select fast format, click "start"

Step 4: After it is formatted, You will have to download the bios ( http://de.msi.com/support/mb/G41M-P25.html#down-bios )

click on the red button "download", extract the downloaded file, open the folder until you find 3 files, "7721vUx" "AFUDE238" and "E7721AMS.U50" (these 3 data names may be different) These 3 files need to be copied on to your plugged in usb stick.

Step 5: Restart your computer, spam the key "delete", until you reach the bios, there is a big icon with the name "M-FLASH"

double klick on it, select your USB stick with double klick, the bios to be flashed that is located on your usb stick will display, double klick on it, it will start to flash. A window will apear showing the process of the bios flash, the mouse won´t move trough the whole process. I recommend you to lay back and trying not to touch anything. Don´t even think of removing the usb stick while it is flashing.

Step 6: Option1/It boots multiple times, if it is stupid, it selects your usb stick because it is thinking thats where the operating system is located, if it is in a booting loop, spam "delete" key and select your HDD where windows is installed.

Option 2/If it is acting right it will ask you want to go to your bios or run the default settings. I recommend you to go to the bios and use the settings you used before, HDD as first bootable device, fan profile etc.

Bios is finished
