Hello guys, I'm planning on a major upgrade for Christmas and have put this part list together. I'm going to be gaming mainly, and watching YouTube videos.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/smallie/saved/whqWGX

How is it?

Okay if you don't plan on expanding in the future: go with dual 970s and this PSU instead (it's just better) http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

If you plan on adding a second 980 in the future (a solid plan as well): Go with this PSU instead (same as above): http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Also, that's a good mobo, but unless you love the look of it, you could probably save a little money there as well

I would go for the 970s, switch psu to the evga g2 750w variation, and grab a cheaper mobo unless you really want the hero.

I don't have the cash for two 970s atm, and would rather get another 980 next year and a 4K monitor.

I switched the powersupply, I did think that I added the G2 but evidently didn't. Thanks!

Maybe wait for 390x, because the 980 is not the best price to perf. wise

When is the 390x release date? I prefer Nvidia cards to AMD as they run cooler and I think look better.

I like the idea of two 970s, but they're really overkill considering I'm getting a 60Hz 1080p monitor. I'm thinking of getting another 980 and a 4k monitor next year when they're cheaper.

Hehe, that's what I'm gonna do, gonna grab another 980 to add to my rig and run multiple 1440s once a monitor comes out that I like.

Then really get a Single 970 and overclock it. The 980 doesn't have much of a performance benefit.

Dell are releasing a 1440p monitor with ultra slim bezels that looks pretty good soon. I was almost tempted but they're just too expensive.

Then really get a Single 970 and overclock it. The 980 doesn't have much of a performance benefit.

If I did get a 970 I'd only end up spending the money I save on shit like an RGB keyboard. I'd rather put the money into a slightly better GPU then a flashing keyboard. There isn't really a 970 that I like the look of, either.

You don't have to buy a new keyboard. Save the money you saved and buy something like Noctuas or a DAC

Well they released the u2715h already, they're $600. It was closer to 550 on black Friday. The U2515H should be coming out in Q1 2015 for around $500. The 25" variation is the one I'm waiting for. I think 27" might be too large for me.

I've done a part list that I can afford with SLI 970s, I'll have to buy an aftermarket CPU cooler when I can afford it - this is literally the limit of my budget: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/g7V9FT

I can't find any blue RAM that I like the look of, though.

I would of bought the 27" for that price, it's only 2" difference which you will get used to overtime.

Have you look at hyperx fury ram? I think they're very aesthetically pleasing
