Hi guys, I have one Ubiquiti UniFi UAP in my house and I have the controller software (v.3.2.5) running on my MacBook Air. I want to take advantage of certain features such as usage statistics and guest portals but I understand that this requires that the controller is on 24/7 and unfortunately I cannot leave my MBA on all the time. I have seen people running the UniFi controller software on EC2 (AWS) and I have a few questions that I hope one of you may be able to answer.

- How much would it cost to run the controller every month on EC2 with the free tier? Would I need any extras above the free tier?

- How would I install and run the controller on EC2? I need the latest version of the controller which is v.3.2.5. Do I setup linux and install it on that? If so, how?

Also does anyone have experience running the controller on AWS? Thanks in advance for any answers!
