The only thing I can think of is getting a PSU with a higher wattage for future upgrades if you can.

Nice specs and you gotta love that 450D!

Make sure you get a 800 watts PSU if you want to sli, its better to have a breathing room

I'd say aim for a G2 PSU since they're not that much more. An extra $10 gets you another 100 watts, and a better PSU.

I think you can find a better deal on RAM. IIRC the 2400mhz kit from GSkill was only $55.

I'd probably go with a slightly cheaper motherboard but each to their own on that one, if that's the one you want it's good. As most Asus products.

I'd be seriously tempted to shell out another $80 for the 500gb SSD.

Can you tell me which one, please? I have been reading like a psycho all the afternoon and i found that people had some bad experiences with the z97-Gaming 5.

I do like it a lot haha, 750w i guess is fine, cause i readed that 970 is a power efficiency graphic card.

Upgrade to a 750Watt Supernova.

Switch out the 970 for a Windforce G1 Gaming, unless you prefer the silence over the higher overclock.

I noticed you didn't add a cooler. If you are planning on using the stock one, don't expect overclocking but it will do the job.

If you wish to buy a cooler, i'd recommend the H100i, or the Nepton 240M. Or if you are a scrub-lord, use a Hyper212.

@dimzo I totally agree with the higher capacity SSD.

Any particular reason why you're getting the Z87 mobo instead of a Z97? You will have to do a BIOS update to get your CPU to work with the Z87.

/edit. here's the same mobo but with the z97 chipset so you don't have to flash it and it's cheaper.

PD: May i ask, why 500GB SSD? Is there a huge difference between that one and the WD Black when it comes to loading time in gaming?

The SSD will be able to reduce the loading time by a very significant amount, but it's not really necessary. It just reduces boot time and such on programs, writes and read data faster than the black. The black is perfectly fine for games, it's meant to be a high performance hard drive. The SSD is more of a luxury item. If I had the option, I would install everything into my SSD but i have a 120 gb SSD that is full. :(

I'd go with a smaller SSD and use some of the savings toward a CPU cooler. The corsair 100 for a closed water loop, or maybe the be quiet dark rock pro 3 which will look good even with a window

Yeah, I would grab a 256 GB SSD. If you don't overclock that much, you can get away with using the evo 212 too and send yourself some money. It's about $30 at most.

I guess this is the right one, since i dont use many programs in my gaming PC, and if i see myself needing more space in the SSD, which i doubt, will get another one. HUGE thanks to all of you guys for helping me out deciding what parts to pick and which ones to change. Im really glad i posted in this forum great community.

I like MSI and Gigabyte. Asus as well, but perhaps one of their lower end boards. Do you really need ATX, or could you go mATX? You could also save a little by dropping down to a 350D.

Thanks for your response. I live in a hot country (Dominican Republic), and having more space between cmponents and many fans is a must have if i want to run a gaming PC haha.
