I recently bought a core i5 4690k and tried to oc it. On manual voltages it oc’d but when I tried to change vcore to offset mode the settings didn’t apply I change the multiplier to 44 in bois it saved the settings but in cpu z it showed multiplier 8-44 but it didn’t really change when I ran prime95 the max multiplier got to 39 which is the default limit and also the voltages didn’t change either i.e the voltage behaved as it would in default mode. Any suggestions how to fix this.

I’m using a asus b85m-g mobo. And I did update the bios to the latest version

PS when i change the multiplier to 39 in offset mode in bios the max it goes to 3.7GHz in windows
