MSi Z87 GD65 with I7 4770K

I was watching Linus' video about this motherboard and he said it was only compatible with 2nd gen processors, so that means my 4770K wouldnt work... but other websites say it will work fine, any help?

It'll work.

uhm Z87 is for 1150 socket and a 4770k is a 1150 socket CPU.
I think your referring to another mobo perhaps.

That's a MSI Z77A-GD65 not a MSI Z87-GD65. The i7-3770K will work with the Z77 motherboard and the i7-4770K will work with the Z87 motherboard.
