so after going to the chemist today and asked for Isopropal alchol and they didnt stock it i woudl like to know if nail polish remover is a good substitute here is what i have

You can get alcohol from any store for around 99c ... Why bother with a chemist?

because its alot harder to get hold of in the UK i have been everywhere

Well that obviously depends on the use you want to give it, which you haven't mentioned.

 

If what you want is to polish the top of your CPU or GPU, then the answer is no: don't use nail polish remover! The acetone derivatives contained in it can damage your processor very badly.

Indeed it is, I got mine from Maplin although I understand there may not be one conveniently near where you live, I'd try a few more electronics/hardware stores if there are any locally and if all else fails order it online.

Ended up a huge fluke we ordered syringes today and they came with isopropyl alcohol wipes
