And DDR4 is expensive and need sometime to mature.

Anyways Asus Mobos are a bit expensive, but Id choose one of them if Im buying the x99 processor.

I'd go with the Rampage because I always like the black/red theme in my PCs

Just realised.... You actually bought into X99? 5960X non the less....

Only because I use it for my business, I work using CAD etc.

There isnt a definitive answer...

 

Both have awesome features, but they are both damn expensive. I mean if you need the ROG overclocking gimmicks that they send with it, get the RVE. If youre into white, or need wifi, or something else that you like in the Deluxe, get that.

 

Otherwise, there are far cheaper, but just the same (performance wise) motherboards out there, that do the job, just with a little less features that you might not even use, like the X99S from MSI, or ASRock's Extreme series. even ASUS, with their X99 PRO/A/S that are cheaper, look just as good as the deluxe, just offer a little less features, that most people dont really use
