Budget : 1000 $US

Aim: Web Browsing/Gaming   Games: Far Cry 4/PlanetSide 2/Arma 3/BF4/BlackDesert Online

Monitors: One monitor and I plan on staying with it, at 1080p.

Peripherals: No peripherals

Reason for Upgrading: Been gaming on an Office computer I picked up in 2011 and I feel it is now time to upgrade  :)

I've been looking at FX8350 and a 970 or something like an I5-4670k and a 7970 but idc really as I'm pretty new to computers and building them, so if these parts aren't viable. Anyway I need help creating an optimal build for a gaming pc to run those games at a budget of 1000 US dollars at High-Ultra in 1080p-720p. Thanks guys!

Upvoting this. Great build, though that's quite an expensive case you've put in there for his budget. But it's a prettyyyyy case! :D

for some reason, the hdd you'd chose is more expensive than this one...

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/f7tYbv#incompatibilities Would this build be viable at all? I was messing around with some builds and I sort of liked that build but not sure if it is viable. If it is, is it comparable with your build? O.o

Edit:  And would getting a 4790k I7 CPU have much benefit over the CPU you posted in that build (I've head its minimal at a 3-4 fps increase) Last but not least, how would Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case do with your build?

thats a good build but ask yourself why you need an i7? it would be abit overkill for gaming and 16gb is a lot you dont even use 8gb while gaming the rest is fine

Alright thanks, I don't think I'll be doing much advanced video editing or 3d work so I'll stick with your build. Thanks a lot!
