Ok so I have a problem that I have never seen. I reinstalled windows yesterday because I got a Samsung 840 Evo. I was able to install several programs and games onto my computer with no issues. The day after (which is today) I installed some more programs and was able to install them without any issues. These include origin, uplay, msi afterburner, Logitech gaming software, microsoft office 2013, visual studio 2012, winzip (which i just uninstalled), osu!, teamspeak, spotify...I think that is all of them. I now am trying to install Adobe Reader and I get an error 1935 and fails. I went on and tried to install league of legends and when I needed to install the C++ 2005 Redistribute it failed again, with the error 1935 message. Is there something I did wrong, something I can easily fix, or will I have to reinstall windows? I have never seen this error ever before. My windows has all of the updates done finally after the 190 or so it had to do. Thanks for the help guys! I will be checking this thread very frequently. Also I am able to run all my programs that are installed perfectly fine. I don't believe it is my firewall (it is Norton 360) because I have never had a problem with N360 blocking anything from installing and hasn't been an issue. It is also good to note that I have a hard drive attached as well which is a 1 terabyte seagate hard drive. It only contains my downloads folder for chrome, places for my games to download, pictures, photoshop, visual studio, nothing that is vital to the OS. Everything in the HDD are programs/applications. Thanks again and I hope this gets fixed!

This problem occurs because of certain third-party programs and background programs that are running on the computer try to remember when it first occurred and try back tracing your steps and ALWAYS back up before ANY installation.

Wow....I rebooted....Tried to install league of legends (another error 1935 application) and it WORKED. Maybe the reboot or possibly winzip (i feel it giving off bad vibes) fixed it.

well for future reference always backup before you install anything okay you never know what could happen
