Guys I really need some help with getting a mic, I was looking at the AT2020 from audio technica, looks really nice and whatever mic I get i'd definitely get a shock mount so it wouldn't be sat on my desk picking up keyboard feedback, but I want a mic that picks up my deep voice clearly and crisp, as my Steelseries H Wireless mic is good, but it's not cutting it for me. Also I would prefer a mic with a live monitor feed so I can hear myself, 'Sidetone' or whatever it's called. However i'm not really interested in the Blue snowball or the Blue yeti

thanks guys

The AT2020 is a great mic, I have some friends that host a podcast with several AT2020's and their sound quality is great, highly recommended by myself and them.

I've had the Rode NT1A Anniversary Vocal Condenser Microphone on my short list for a while now.  I've read great things about the kit which comes with a shock mount and pop screen.  Its supposed to be a great mic for the money...again...that's what I've read but I haven't bought one yet.  Might be worth considering.  Maybe pair it with a BEHRINGER XENYX 302USB mixer to get you the live monitor through a set of headphones and also direct recording to your PC.  It has phantom power for the mic in the XLR port.

I have this and it works very nicely with both XLR and PC mics (1/8" plug type like the Zalman mentioned above). I particularly like the ability to EQ the mic signal (only 2 bands, but it still helps).

Really, just about any small mixer that separates the headphone mix from the main output mix can do what you're looking for. The 302USB is very convenient though if you don't already own a mixer.

that looks awesome for the money, plus the stand would fit pretty well with it and it's only 20 bucks, which is about 12 pound to us british folk. Anyway I haven't seen that set around at all whilst i've been looking and it looks extremely practical, let me know if you go ahead and purchase this one and let me know how it all sounds! just one more thing. Is there anyway that I can set this mic up with my Steelseries H wireless, I don't know if you know anything about it but it comes with a black box and I wouldn't have the slightest clue to be able to have feedback from my mic into my wireless headset, maybe putting the black box to the 302USB to my pc I would honestly have no idea, I hope it would work though, it has a optical output so I would have next to no clue on how to set it all up
