Help with choosing cpu

Go to solution Solved by i_build_nanosuits,

Also sorry i forgot to mention i WILL BE OVERCLOCKING to the max

don't overclock anything and relax...leave all that money to watercool the old fx cpu and the expensive motherboard right there on the table and focus a second...you will be playing games i'm sure...and this kit is much better than ANY overclocked AMD FX CPU in that regards...and once you've factored in a cpu cooler...overclocking ready motherboard...extra cost on your electric bills...you'll end up paying less with this intel i5:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($168.99 @ NCIX US)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($45.99 @ Newegg)

Total: $214.98

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

the FX can only dream of such gaming performance even if ''you WILL BE OVERCLOCKING it to the max'' it still won't quite make it.

I am looking into buying a new computer (mid range) and im having trouble with choosing cpu

I was thinking about FX-6300 Black edition but im not sure

Is it better than similarly priced intel processors?   My budget is kind-of limited but a 20-30 euro's more is not that bad

PS. I will be buying a stock cpu cooler and eventualy water cooling sistem soo....

If u need rest of specs here they are -GPU-(ASUS OR GIGABYTE 750ti OR R9-270) RAM-16 gigs DDR3 no ssd drives and corsair 750W modular psu

ALSO WHICH GPU IS BETTER of the ones above?

Thank you in advance

Can you save up for this? http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-BX80646I54690K/dp/B00KPRWB9G/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1417548660&sr=1-1 I think this would be a much better chip for you if you are not already locked into AMD with your components. It is double the price though but I think it might be worth.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]

dont get 16 gigs of ram wtf, and there is no need for 750 watts tbh for such a mid range system. a cx600m will be fine

well there is no reason to not want a microATX motherboard since it will ge the same job done but if you want similar features to the gigabyte board i've linked before this is your next best option...personaly i would go with the gigabyt B85...but its up to you:

is there an Asus board??   i have heard that ASUS is the best motherboard manuf.          what is the best custom cooler for the i5 until i get luqid cooling im at collage (last year) so im VERY tight with cash

you don't watercool a locked core i5 you use the stock intel heatsink and you call it a day and asus is no better than any other manufacturer they have good and bad boards like all the other and currently they are overpriced in this price braket.
