Gpu confusion

Can anyone clear this up, so i've got an I7 4710MQ and a GTX 850m now when i check MSi afterburner and GPU Z they both give me different answers. 

 

One says im using my GTX 850m and another says i'm using my Intel integrated GPU. is there a way of disabling my Integrated to clear this up ??

edit: i also can't seem to find out the temp of my 850m either. Anyone got any ideas on how to counter this.

Most nvidia laptops use Optimus, so that when you are not gaming your PC will use integrated graphics to save battery life,

 

Your GPU will only start up when you launch a game

well im playing a java based browser game, and it keeps using my intergreated by the looks of it. Whn i force the 850m i get flashing of screen and part artifacts.

Why would you need to use anything other then the intergreated gpu for browser game.

cause, i bought a GPU to use it. i didn't buy the cpu for it's intergreated GPU. plus the browser game i play is quite heavy and even on power only getting 30 fps is.. well i know i can get more. So is there a way of telling the software to use the gpu with the downloaded client of that browser game which geforce experience can not find even with the directory.
