yes but I suggest you look at AMD cards at that price point. They have better price-performance. You can get a 290 if you can add a little in your budget. :D

It'll work perfectly fine, however I would suggest you look at the R9 280 or 285, as they're better performing at the same or similar price point.

THat they do but the model you would want (tri-x or vapor-x) are only $50 below a GTX 970 which are preferable to R9 290

The GTX 760 and R9 280 are pretty much tied for performance. THe R9 280 is ahead by 3-5 frames and behind 3-5 frames depending on the game.

I've actually edited my post since I saw a 290 with the same price point(power color) and adding $30 more for a Tri-X. :D It's all in the decision of the OP tho.

You should also look at an i5 unless you REALLY need the extra threads for rendering or something.

I've decided to just get the SC GTX 760 with an i5 4670k. If that's all right. But thank you all for posting and helping me out. :*

Agree it has the same performance as the 280x but the 760 has more features like shadowplay, cudacores and stuff.

Yeah, thats what made me make my decision. Thank you though. :D

First of, since you are going for a Z97 motherboard, why not go with the i5-4690K? I mean yeah, the 4670K will work just fine on a Z97 mobo, but the 4690K will deliver a much better overclock experience if you are into those... :D

And for the GPU, the GTX 760 IMO is a bit overpriced for its performance. Since you want an Nvidia GPU, you may wait for an extra $100 and obtain a GTX 970, which is a TOTAL BEAST for its price. Its performance is on par or even better than the GTX 780 and even the 780 Ti IIRC while being priced at a very very killer $350. :D

The only thing that prevents a GPU from working is if it gets enough power from the power supply and if the GPU has enough clearance or if the slot is too short in which case you'd have to cut a slit for it to work
