How do you send messages?

How do you send a private message to someone? Do you have to be friends with them? Is that function not available?

You can click on their picture and then click on "send me a message" in their profile but for example I can't click your picture so I can't msg you.

Yea I can't click on my account either. When I click on yours it's only options are add as friend or find content. My account is bugged I think because I also can not click on my account when I click on my name on the header.

Report your post. You can contact the mods that way to get your account sorted. Looks like your account was semi-banned or something.

That might be related to your situation, I received messages from people already. Like SteepGnomeKing said you account might be restricted, contact support, I don't know how sorry.

I have had this issue personally before, please stand by while I recover the solution I used to solve this issue :)

I can't fully remember, but if you click THIS link it should come up with a message saying "Messaging is disabled. Would you like to enable it?" or something similar.

As I can't replicate this issue, I can't say for sure, though.
