A decent 650w would be plenty, possibly even overkill, I would go for a 650 watt, 80+ gold from either EVGA, seasonic, Coolermaster, Antec, Corsair, superflower, pretty much any well known brand, I would also go for at least semi-modular.

CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 | GPU: XFX r9 280x DD BLACK OC EDITION | RAM: 8gb Kingston HyperX Fury 1600Mhz | Mobo: Gigabyte h97n-WIFI | PSU: EVGA 600B | Case: Cooler Master Elite 120 | Cooler: Stock intel | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120gb | Storage: WD 150 gb

CPU: Intel Core i7 4710MQ | GPU: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 850M | RAM: 8gb Corsair 1600Mhz | Mobo: Metabox WA50SJ Motherboard | Case: Metabox WA50SJ case | Cooler: Stock | SSD: Sandisk 256gb

Best purchase this year, bcuz forza

I'm not exactly an expert on PSU's, but if you don't intend to add a second graphics card in the future then a basic good quality 500W PSU would be sufficient.

i7-5960X on Asus X99-S with 32GB Crucial Ballistix 2400Mhz and ZOTAC GTX780Ti. 256GB Crucial M4 SSD with 3TB and 1TB HDD's. Built in a Define R4.

thanks guys!, i knew it, that a 500W ~ 650W is sufficient enough or overly sufficient, because when i went to the computer shop the other day to source the pricing of the parts i needed, the shop staff was saying that i should get a Corsair RM 850W or CM V850W, so i kept thinking should i actually get it.

once again thank you!.

He isnt aware how efficient the gtx 900 series gpus are OR most likely he just wants you to shell out more money.

Don't get a Corsair RM. You can get better for the same/less money.

Do you plan on adding a 2nd GTX 970 in the future ?

What is your budget/location ?

This is slightly off topic, but why a Sabertooth and not a Gryphon? You won't be doing any 3-way SLi on the Sabertooth anyway, and the Gryphon has 6 SATA-3 ports instead of the evolutionary dead-end SATA Express + 4 SATA-3 ports of the Sabertooth. (Which still can be used as 6 SATA-3 ports, but still) They have the same warranty and the Gryphon is a lot cheaper.

Only advantage to the Sabertooth I see is an extra Gb LAN port, but it's Realtek anyway.

Just curious.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Oh okay. The Sabertooth is still worth the money IMO if you can't get the Gryphon.
