Which GPU should I get?

I've had a Radeon 7770 Ghost card for over a year, and want a solid upgrade.

I'm looking to spend around $200-$250, but a little under or a little over is fine.

I've already looked at the GTX 760, and it seems like an okay choice, but I'm not sure. Also I've looked at the Sapphire R9 280x, and I was going to get it, but it's out of stock on Newegg, and I thought I could get a better deal on something on Cyber Monday.

Lastly, I would prefer if it would work with my existing 430w PSU, and need no more than about 250w just on the card. But if I really need to get a new PSU, so be it.

Spend alittle bit more for a 970 man, alittle but more as its 320? 300 dollars I guess...

As it doesn't carry much wattage. Around 135watt..

R9 270X 150-170$ (should be ok)

R9 280X 220$ (psu works @ limit, you may need to upgrade)

GTX 770 ~ 230$ (should be ok)

R9 290 250$ (new psu)

 

These are the best cards for the price at the moment

 

Btw: A 430Watt psu is not the best option...

I'd go for a 280 (maybe even 280x if you can find one on sale) it's perfect for that budget. As for a new psu I think I'd get a new one. 500ish watts and 80+ Bronze or higher.

The cheapest 970 I've found is $330. The other ones are over a little under $400. Could you link me to the 970 you're talking about?

Getting a sapphire 290 tri-x would be your best shot.

I got mine for 190$ new, only 2gb. But it was when the 900 series were realesed, look out for sales.
