Plz suggest some models

I'd say get a WD Blue, the best is the WD Black but I wouldn't say the extra cash is worth it.

If you have the money, get a WD Black. If you are a little bit more tight on your budget, get the WD Blue. Right now on amazon, there's only a 5 dollar difference between the two, so go with the Black in that case.

Edit: Did some price checking. The lowest I found for the WD Blue was 49 dollars, and the lowest I found for the Black was 69 dollars. I would still go with the Black in this case. Basically, for an extra 20 bucks you get slightly faster read and write speeds as well as a longer warranty.

Laptop - Lenovo Y50   Keyboard - Corsair K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown   Mouse - Logitech G502 Proteus Core   Mousepad - Razer Firefly

Is there a difference between the caviar black and the black series?

Just a name. They are the same drives.

Nowadays they just refer to them as just plain WD Black.

I personally prefer Seagate Barracuda; get a lot of storage for the price  :)

We Blue/Black are the best. Even greens are not bad.

Greens are a bit annoying though mainly due to the slower rpm but also due to the auto-off feature. For example when you go to access your storage and have to wait for the drive to spin up again.

I feel you. I used a green as boot drive about a year ago and noticed a huge performance difference when I switched to a Barracuda. Right now it is currently used as secondary storage.

I was looking for an hdd with 7200rpm with 1tb of space and Any suggestions from either of these brands western digital or hitachi would be great

Plz help.

Thanks in advance

Personally I'd go with a 120 GB ssd then get a WD blue 1tb you'd get the performance benefits of the ssd for your os and some of your most used applications and then you also have all he storage you'd need. I got a crucial mx100 512 GB coming Wednesday :D thank you black Friday!
