Good GPU for Under $250?

So I am looking for a GPU, preferably under $250. I mostly want to play Minecraft ( :D sorry... I play other games but I know that a GPU under $250 coudnl't handle them on triple surround.) I was looking at a 750 Ti FTW or a 760 SC. I like the Green Team but if there is a better card for under $250 that is on the Red Team then it's fine haha :D I crossed 750 Ti FTW off because I want to be able to do CrossFire or SLI. Right now I only have 600W PSU so if there is a car that doesn't require a lot of power and one of them is pretty powerful that would be great. Thanks!!!

R9 290 defiantly is the card you will want.

I'd recommend saving a 100 more $ and getting a 970 if that is not a option get either the 760 or the r9 280x

Can you spend just $5 more? Sapphire's Vapor-X 290 is $255 after $15 rebate.

Thanks guys! It's so overwhelming. It defiantly looks like it's going to be between a 760 and 280x or 290. I am probably going to ask one for Christmas (15, broke, grandparents that buy you anything :D) I'm not sure though, http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2972-KR that 970 is looking pretty nice. Not sure if my grandparents would spend $330 on me though xD but maybe I could use some of my money and split the cost with them. Damn I need a job :D

I recommend:

 

Gtx 760  :)

Its true,if you think a 760 is not good enough then just go with a 970. A 970 is better than the r9 290

A 970 is an amazing card especially what you get for what you are paying for.

Im not much of a fan of AMD but with how prices are right now the R9 290 like the others were saying is the best card for that range. But i will say this i believe the GTX 960 when it is released in 2-3 months will become the new standard $250 GPU. But if you can get another $65 to spend you can get your hands on a lower end GTX 970 from EVGA or PNY

Reason no. 1 It's on sale

Reason no. 2 It's on sale, you need any more reasons? Right now it's the best bang for your buck gpu, there are better cards out there like the 970 but it's more expensive.

Forgive me El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education...

Deals on the R9 290 might still be around.   You'll need to consider your current hardware if you decide on one, though.   It's max TDP is ~300 watts.   

 

Find out the power consumption and TDP for your other components, then add 300.  If you're power supply isn't capable, you'd need a new one, or pick a different graphics card.
