Netflix doesn't have current shows.

It sounds like you need hulu or (find these at wallmart or somewhere on the internet) a USB tongle that gives you access to all your local chanels and some popular others.

I tried going on Hulu and none of the shows had the current season.

You can watch shows live at TVCatchup.com (the channels on TVCatchup.com are the ones you will find on Freeview). Also, most TV Channels stream their channels on the internet. For example, Channel 4 has their 4oD (4 on Demand) service which allows you to watch the channel live and watch episodes of shows on 4oD after they have aired. You can also look into subscriptions for Netflix, Blinkbox and Amazon Instant Video. Hulu also has a bunch of new shows, you can even support Linus Tech Tips by using their affiliate link. Also, if you connect a TV Tuner to your computer, you can use your computer as if it were a TV by connecting your aerial to the TV Tuner connected to your computer, this will allow you to watch free-to-air channels on your computer (you could connect this to your HTPC, desktop or laptop).

Hope this helps. :)

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
