CM Storm Spawn mouse Software is Unresponsive

I recently got the CM Storm Spawn, but the setting got messed up when I opened the software and no-matter-what I do I can't get the program to change anything. Every time I click "apply" or the factory reset button the program goes unresponsive and the settings randomly change. The mouse is awesome, but it is completely unusable since the software messed up all the acceleration and sensitivity settings. I tried using compatibility settings to see if it would work better with Windows 7 or Vista since I have Windows 8.1 but neither one of those helped much.
